Cocoon 1, Riviera Boutique Hotel Ubud

Cocoon 1 is an interior room. It has no exterior windows and no balcony, so the light in it is the light you switch on. That makes it a dark room to sleep in, which suits guests landing off a night flight or resting between a morning walk through Ubud and a late dinner.

The wall behind the bed is white molded panelling, floor to ceiling, with a clear glass and brass pendant hanging on each side of the bed in place of table lamps. The headboard is upholstered in soft tan. A walnut wardrobe with open shelving runs along one wall beside a single armchair, and a ceiling fan turns above the bed alongside the air conditioning. The bathroom sits behind an arched opening closed by a dark timber lattice door, with a rounded pedestal basin and a rain shower.

Its twin is Cocoon 2, which repeats the same interior footprint in dark walnut behind a carved timber screen. If daylight matters more than dark, Urban View Room 1 is the same 23 m² with a private balcony over the street.
