A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Ubud with stylish interiors and great attention to detail. I stayed in a Garden View room, which was very comfortable, spotless and peaceful. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive and helpful. I originally booked two nights but loved it so much that I extended my stay by another three. I would definitely return!
A Beautiful modern hotel in the heart of Ubud, very centrally and conveniently located and close to the best shops and restaurants. The hotel has a very beautiful colonial atmosphere, the rooms are clean, modern and stylish. The staff is kind and responsive. It's a great place for a couple or single travellers, it's not really fit for families as it has no infrastructure and special spaces for kids. It's a great place for adult travellers wanting to stay in the very heart of Ubud and enjoy the walking distance to the evening events in Ubud or just visiting the town without the need to use a car or a bike. We will be back!

Choosing a Room
The six rooms divide into three pairs. Each pair shares an outlook, and the two rooms inside it differ in finish rather than in size or bedding.
The interior pair starts with the Cocoon 1 room, white molded panelling with a lattice door at the bathroom; Its twin, the Cocoon 2 room, runs the same footprint in dark walnut behind a carved timber screen. Over the street, the first Urban View room opens through a single arched door onto its balcony; Beside it, the second Urban View room takes the same light through a pair of arched windows. Facing the garden, the first Garden View room sits level with the palms behind one arched door; Next to it, the second Garden View room opens through two.

Joy & Mark stayed in a Garden View room with a balcony and recommend it. They found the bed extremely comfortable and the surroundings peaceful enough to relax (July 2026).
Alexandra Gherman wrote that the street-facing rooms can get noisy and that things quietened down after midnight (August 2026). If you sleep lightly, ask for a Garden View room when you book.
Tessa Storm Van Den Broek pointed out that some rooms have no windows and said that was not a problem for them (August 2026, written in Dutch). Those are the two Cocoon rooms, which sit inside the building, so choose an Urban View or Garden View room if you want daylight.
Ariana Martínez rated the bed among the most comfortable they had slept in (July 2026). When hamza rana told reception the air conditioning was not cooling well, the team moved them to another room straight away (August 2026).
Some reviews give walking times from the hotel. Ariana Martínez put the Yoga Barn about 10 minutes away on foot by the shortcut, and Radiantly Alive about 25 minutes. Olga Nagornaya walked to Suka Cafe and the ARMA Museum, and Lioe Robin found Pison Ubud very close by (both July 2026).

We opened Riviera in central Ubud in 2026 with 28 rooms, small enough that our team comes to know guests by name. Each room is designed for a calm, comfortable stay a short walk from the Ubud Art Market, the Palace and the Sacred Monkey Forest.
Our style is modern and warm, and the personal service is the thing guests mention most in their reviews. Riviera is a quiet place to come back to after a day in Ubud.
